30. PROMOTION AGREEMENTS
(a) In this Rule the term ‘Promotion Agreement’ shall mean agreement(s) relating to sponsorship, advertising, merchandising and general promotion of each of the clubs and the League which have the object of promoting the welfare and general commercial interests and increasing the financial resources of each of the clubs in the League.
(b) The Board, without prejudice to its existing rights, powers, and duties in connection with the management of the League’s business, shall have full authority at their discretion to negotiate and enter into as agents for and on behalf of each of the clubs any Promotion Agreement and the clubs shall comply with all the obligations on their part which may be contained or referred to in any such Promotion Agreement.
(c) All profits deriving from promotion agreements shall belong beneficially in equal shares to those clubs which are members of the League throughout the season in respect of which those profits are made. The Board shall have the power to retain whatever part of the payments received under any Promotion Agreement they think fit in order to discharge any expenses incurred in relation to that or any Promotion Agreement.
(d) Withdrawal from the League for whatever reason shall not affect the accrued right to a share of the profits under (c) above of any member.
